Two years ago, a Karen single mother and her two children, ages 6 and 10, came from a refugee camp in Thailand to the United States to begin a new life. Originally, they were resettled in Texas, but moved to Omaha to find employment. Even though the mother works full-time, she has been unable to afford basic household items for herself and her children. This family of three has been through many difficulties, and their current living condition calls for us to reach out a hand and provide them the assistance that they need. Through our efforts, we aim to bring them much-needed household items, teach them cleaning skills, and provide them with housing advocacy. Join us on Saturday, October 11th, 2014 as we strive to bring hope and resources to this struggling family. To view more information about this project, click here.
