What We Do

We provide three core services to Omaha refugees:

Action

We provide resettled refugee families with much needed household items, cleaning and organization education, and other home essentials.

Education

Our community educators go directly into homes and teach cleaning skills room by room, product by product.

Advocacy

We provide critical housing advocacy for refugees who are struggling with substandard living conditions.

“By exposing people to more fortunate events, you provide more opportunities for hidden talent to emerge in society.”

-Andrea Rapisarda

Donate Home Items

We are in constant need of any and all home items (ie. couches, tables, chairs, lamps, kitchen items, toiletries, decorations, beds). All items brought to our storage facility are then distributed to local refugee families.

Donate Financially

Our financial donors keep our doors open! As Restoring Dignity continues to grow, so do our operating expenses. We pay monthly rent and utilities for our storage facility. Additionally, we have several employees who do the critical work of housing advocacy, long term casework, volunteer project coordination and cleaning education.

Volunteer

There are so many ways to serve our refugee friends! Want to transform a family’s home in just two hours? Sign-up for one of our make-over projects. Great at organizing?
