Restoring Dignity #13 will take place on Saturday, November 22nd, 2014

The 13th Restoring Dignity will take place on Saturday, November 22nd, 2014 from 10am-6pm. We will be serving a Karen refugee family of eight who recently moved into a home. Prior to being resettled in the United States three years ago, they spent 24 years in a refugee camp. We are going to provide this family with much-needed household items, teach them cleaning skills, and provide them with housing advocacy.  To learn more about this family and household items that they need, visit here.

The 12th Restoring Dignity will take place on Saturday, October 11th, 2014

Two years ago, a Karen single mother and her two children, ages 6 and 10, came from a refugee camp in Thailand to the United States to begin a new life. Originally, they were resettled in Texas, but moved to Omaha to find employment. Even though the mother works full-time, she has been unable to afford basic household items for herself and her children. This family of three has been through many difficulties, and their current living condition calls for us to reach out a hand and provide them the assistance that they need. Through our efforts, we aim to bring them much-needed household items, teach them cleaning skills, and provide them with housing advocacy.  Join us on Saturday, October 11th, 2014 as we strive to bring hope and resources to this struggling family.
