We are excited to announce that Restoring Dignity and The Furniture Project have joined forces to launch and manage Omaha’s first Furniture Bank! We recently acquired an 18,000 square foot warehouse at 10808 J Street, which will allow both organizations to expand their current operations.

Restoring Dignity will continue to collect and provide refugee families with household items and furniture, which is especially important to support incoming families from Afghanistan, in addition to other countries.

This is an incredibly positive step forward for both organizations and we are committed to working together to create a dynamic Furniture Bank for OmahaWe are tremendously thankful for the support of local philanthropy, for providing the financial support to get this Furniture Bank started!

  1. Hi Gwen,
Thank you for your message! We are not able to pick up items from donor homes, but we do accept donation drop offs on Tuesday evenings from 5:30pm-7:30pm. If you can find someone to drop off items that are in very good condition, we’d be happy to find a new home for them. Thank you!

    1. We are elderly and don’t have access a truck so I’ll try to find someone else that wants it. Thank you for your quick response.
