Restoring Dignity’s volunteers are the heart of our organization! Your help means we can serve even more families this year! We rely on volunteers to do everything from assemble cleaning kits, to prepare materials in 10 languages for our Welcome Home classes, to makeover homes for families in need. Volunteer opportunities are available on a weekly basis, monthly basis or for special events as needed.
We are also seeking volunteers who would be willing to share their expertise in social media, marketing, website design or technical writing. If you are interested in sharing your talents with us in these (or any other) areas, please fill out the volunteer interest form or contact Bridget at volunteer@rdomaha.org.

Volunteers pack and label items families have shopped for so they can be safely transported to their homes.
Skills-based Volunteers
-
- Social Media and Marketing – Do you have experience in social media marketing, brand management, or a related field? Restoring Dignity is looking for volunteers with this specialized experience to help us continue to reach our community partners! This volunteer would create video, graphics and copy for several social media posts each week to educate the community about our programs, request donations, and seek support for Omaha’s refugee community. Current social platforms include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. Volunteer commitment is anticipated to be 5 to 10 hours per month and can be completed in our office or virtually.
- Website Development – We need a WordPress whiz to keep our website looking fresh! If you have experience with WordPress, we would love to have your help! Volunteer commitment is on an as-needed basis, anticipated to be around 4 to 8 hours per month and can be completed in our office or virtually.
- Technical Writing – We have been collecting data about our programs for the last several years and are looking for an experienced technical writer to help us write white papers to share with other organizations and agencies. Your expertise will help us to document our successes and share information that can be used to improve the lives of refugees. Volunteer commitment is on an ongoing basis, anticipated to be around 16 hours per paper.
