Urgent SNAP EBT Fraud Help

On Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, Restoring Dignity became aware of an urgent SNAP EBT fraud scheme happening in Omaha. As of that 1/7/26, 71 refugee families had reported their SNAP balance was gone for the month of January, or only a dollar or a few cents were left. The Omaha Police Department and the Department of Health and Human Services have been alerted, but there is still grave concern that many families are at risk of having their SNAP funds stolen by criminals using skimmer devices across Omaha. The first immediate step that needs to be taken is changing the PIN on your EBT Card. DHHS confirmed today that even if your number was stolen, you do NOT need to cancel your card. JUST change your PIN. Please see the below document on steps to change your PIN:
