Help raise $2,851 in urgent rent funds to keep Nyaliep & her children from being evicted

In April of this year, Restoring Dignity and our amazing volunteers & donors came together to provide a home makeover for Nyaliep and her five children (if you aren’t familiar with this family’s story, you can read it here). After the home-makeover, Nyaliep was scheduled to go in for her sixth surgery on her arm. We raised rent funds, to help her and her children get through the final surgery. However, after going in for surgery, Nyaliep ended up contracting two serious life threatening infections in her arm, which hospitalized her for a while and set her recovery back even further.

After she recovered from the infections, she began applying for jobs. However, the jobs that were hiring required her to find daycare for her three year old twins, one of which has moderate to severe autism and requires special care. Nyaliep applied for daycare assistance, but the process took months, and to this day has not been approved.

During this time, Nyaliep has received notice from her landlord that she and her children will be evicted if they do not make payment by the end of this week. She currently owes $2,851 in rent. She has applied for rent assistance from every agency in Omaha that provides it, however, the funds are depleted (side note: since Covid ARPA money has dried up, there is little to no rent assistance available in Omaha at this time — a crisis not only for Nyaliep but for many families). She recently got hired by a telecommunications company and begins work in a week. And her father has agreed to stop his work, to watch the three year old twins during the day, so she can work.

This is the final hurdle for this family, as they work to get life back to normal after the horrific car accident that shattered their world.

Help us raise $2,851 to keep Nyaliep and her children from being evicted! Restoring Dignity will directly pay all rent funds to her landlord. Please share with your friends and family, so we can get this taken care of by the end of this week!
