Support Nyaliep’s Funeral Costs & Future Expenses for Her Children

via Restoring Dignity’s Family Support Fund

We deeply mourn the unexpected death of our dear Nyaliep Kuany, who passed away on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025 from a heart attack. She leaves behind her five beautiful children (all under the age of 9), who are now being raised by their loving grandparents. In April 2024, the Restoring Dignity community uplifted Nyaliep and her children through a home-makeover. This was in response to a horrific car accident that left Nyaliep wheelchair bound and caused her to go through a myriad of surgeries in an attempt to get back to baseline. The accident profoundly changed Nyaliep’s life and the life of her children.

The generous Omaha community supported this family over the past year with the home-makeover and with several fundraisers to help with rent costs, as Nyaliep finished up her final surgeries and healed from medical complications. We are now calling on Omaha to stand behind this family again, as her children and family need support as they deeply mourn her unexpected passing.

The family is in need of financial support to cover funeral expenses and to help pay for short-term general living expenses for the five children. 100% of all donations will go to Restoring Dignity’s Family Support Fund, which will help to curtail funeral costs and short-term general living expenses for the children. Please share with everyone you know. The donation form is at the bottom of this page. Funeral details have not been released yet.
