Restoring Dignity’s volunteers are the heart of our organization! Your help means we can serve even more families this year! We rely on volunteers to do everything from assemble cleaning kits, to prepare materials in 15 languages for our Welcome Home classes, to makeover homes for families in need. Volunteer opportunities are available on a weekly basis, monthly basis or for special events as needed.

Volunteer Opportunities
Individual Volunteers (once a week, once every two weeks, or once a month) – These opportunities take place at our office in the Yates Illuminates building at 3260 Davenport Street.

- Office Support – Assist the RD staff with administrative tasks, such as data entry and analysis, office organization and cleaning, and other office-related tasks.
- Welcome Home Program Support – Print, cut and laminate tags and materials for our Welcome Home classes. Unpack and organize program supplies and create cleaning kits.
Group Volunteers (groups are typically scheduled once per month on weekdays between 10am and 3pm) – email Bridget at volunteer@rdomaha.org to schedule. This takes place at our office inside Yates Illuminates at 3260 Davenport Street.
Looking for a team-building activity for your work group or a way for your friend group or church group to give back? Schedule a time to volunteer together at Restoring Dignity! Groups of 10 or fewer are scheduled on weekdays to complete a batch of tasks, including packing cleaning kits, organizing, and assembling materials for classes.
Event Volunteers

- Home Makeovers – help us completely overhaul a home for a family in need! Schedule TBD, approximately 2 times per year on a Saturday from 10 to 4 – you will get to pick your shift when the event is scheduled
- Community Events – help us bring resources directly to the refugee community. Schedule TBD, typically takes place on a Saturday morning
- Fundraising Events – our next fundraising gala will be held in spring 2027! Date TBD, typically takes place on a weekday evening
